Important Screening for Glaucoma

What is Corneal Pachymetry?

Corneal Pachymetry is the measurement of the thickness of the cornea (front surface of the eye). Important for your eye doctor when determining whether a patient is a good candidate for refractive surgery and other corneal surgeries and also an early indicator of glaucoma.

How does Ultrasound Pachymetry work?

New ultrasound technology uses corneal waveforms that capture an extremely high definition echogram of the cornea which provides an accurat thickness which can be monitored over time to view any structural changes.
