The Icare Tonometer is a measuring device used to gently measure the cornea (front surface of the eye) as it comes into contact with it. It is easy to use, patient and technician friendly and improves patient flow.
Icare Tonometry uses small probes that momentarily contact the cornea six times for an accurate measurement. It is painless, quick and very accurate.
The measurement is so gentle most patients are unaware of when the contact with the cornea happens, making it a more pleasant experience for patients. Prior technology could cause automatic eyelid reflexes, where this technology is so quick and gentle it succeeds in even some difficult patient measurements.
